Case Introduction
ZOZEN Boiler has collaborated with a certain steel plant to provide them with an innovative molten salt thermal storage system. This system, combined with gas turbine generators, achieves high-efficiency energy utilization and peak load support for the power system. The application of this technology not only enhances power generation efficiency but also provides a strong guarantee for the stable operation of the power system through its 6-hour thermal storage capability, offering 79.5MWh of stored heat.
Role and Advantages of Molten Salt heater
The ZOZEN RYQ series molten salt heater played a crucial role in the success of this project. The RYQ-10500KW model heater, with its heat output of 9 million kcal/hour, meets the project’s strict requirements for high-temperature heating processes. The low viscosity, high stability, and high heat storage density characteristics of the molten salt heater make it an ideal choice for large-scale, long-term, high-temperature thermal storage.
Improving Power Generation Efficiency: The introduction of the molten salt heater significantly boosts the power generation efficiency of the gas turbine generators, optimizing energy utilization through efficient heat conversion.
Robust Thermal Support: With a heat output of 9 million kcal/hour, the molten salt heater provides a solid thermal foundation for the project’s high-temperature heating processes.
Significant Environmental Benefits: It is estimated that approximately 180,000 tons of carbon emissions can be reduced over the project’s lifecycle, while around 50 million cubic meters of short-term gas emissions can be captured, effectively reducing environmental pollution.
